Hello!

     John Shoemaker M.A. is a Technology Program Specialist in the Department of Educational Technology at The School District of Palm Beach County. He is certified in Elementary Education (K-6) and Varying Exceptionalities (K-12). He holds the State of Florida Reading Endorsement (K-12). He is Verified and Highly Qualified in the State of Florida to teach Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies. 

    He is enrolled in the doctorate program at Jones International University, and he anticipates graduating in April 2012 with a Doctorate in K-12 Education Leadership. He completed his Master of the Arts in Teaching and Learning through Nova Southeastern University’s SkyLight Program in August 2007. His specialization was in K-12 Technology Integration. 

    He is very active in his school district in many facets. He is the Vice President of the Palm Beach County Teachers’ Guild. He was on the textbook adoption committee for Developmental Reading in the Summer of 2007.  He has written over one hundred thousand dollars in grants for his school and classroom. He is an accomplished presenter, presenting at many different local, state, and national conferences including: The School District of Palm Beach County’s 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009 Educational Technology Conference, the 2006 and 2007 Teacher’s Guild Conference, and the 2007 TIES Educational Technology Conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the 2008 CRISS Certified Trainer Conference in Orlando, Florida, and the 2008 Literacy Institute in Orlando, Florida.
